Certified Birth Support Worker
My entire life, I have felt that working with pregnant people and newborns was a calling of mine. Even as a child, I wanted to interact with babies as much as possible and loved learning about prenatal and postnatal development. My brother was born thirteen years after me, and it was the best thing that had ever happened to me!
Having a first hand effect on people’s experience giving birth has always driven me to pursue this field of work. I am passionate about advocating for my clients’ comfort and support in any birth setting.
I have completed the doula training program at Douglas College and I am very thrilled to be mentoring with Birth by Bloom. I am additionally a prospective student for the UBC Midwifery Program for this upcoming Fall. My services include providing reliable resources and pain management remedies, and my skills include speaking fluent French and extensive first responder training including an Emergency Medical Responder certification.

How can I help you?
My role as your doula is to ensure that you feel safe, listened to and accepted, and to be relied upon to inform decisions that prioritize your needs while respecting all set boundaries and preferences. Providing evidence based information is an essential priority of mine to ensure that you are well informed on ALL of your options in a completely non-judgemental environment and to ensure that you enter your birth experience feeling prepared and well equipped.

Complimentary Initial Consultation (30-45 minutes)
The purpose of this consultation is to get to know each other a bit more! You, your partner (if you have one) and I will be discussing and addressing what your ideal labour and birth looks like, your general needs and concerns, and what I can do to specifically support your family as your doula.​

2-3 Prenatal Appointments (2 hours each)
​During these in-person or virtual visits, we discuss how we can personalize your care. We will cover research based information regarding pregnancy and leading up to early labour. We will delve into comprehensive learning regarding the physiology of a birth event, ways for your partner and I to support you during labour, how to navigate the Lower Mainland healthcare system regarding delivery, informing decisions related to choosing birth location (hospital and home birth), preparing for newborn care and more!

Breastfeeding Support (1-1.5 hours)​
We will cover the basics of lactation to facilitate the transition of feeding your baby postpartum, if breastfeeding is part of your vision.

Access to Personal Library of Pregnancy, Labour and Birth books
​I am able to recommend books or chapters to specialize my care to your specific needs.

Birth Plan Support
Assisting you in creating a birth plan as a guideline to avoid making decisions under pressure during your labour and birth.

Unlimited phone, text and email support
From the moment you hire me, I am at your disposal to get in touch with. Non-urgent messages will vary in time for me to respond but for emergencies, I am available by phone 24/7.

24/7 on call availability from when early labour contractions start to when your baby is born
​At all times of the day, I will show up at your birth when both your contractions start and my presence is desired. On the very rare occasion that I am unavailable, I will have a qualified and reliable doula available to you.

In-person support for entirety of labour and birth
I will be nowhere but at your side and/or at your disposal; you will never be alone. I am there to teach and assist your partner to be your main supporter. I will utilize my skills and learning to advise and integrate coping techniques and various preferred and previously discussed comfort measures. I am there to keep you and your partner feeling reassured, fed and hydrated. My objectives are to offer insight, encouragement, advocacy and support.

1-2 Postpartum visits (1-2 hours)
We will review your birth event, and revise breastfeeding and baby care. We will be assessing and discussing current needs to then connect you to specialized resources and support if you require them.
